This lecture will discuss five main gross motor concepts - balance, bilateral coordination, crossing the midline, core strength, and proprioception. We’ll define these concepts, learn how we can apply them to preschool gymnastics, show applicable stations, and discuss how to communicate their importance and application to parents.
Everyone hears these terms tossed around - My goal is that you leave my presentation knowing what they mean, why they are important, and how to utilize them in their classes.
Let’s discuss all the smaller parts of class outside of teaching gymnastics: warm-up, moving around the gym, explaining stations, class management. How do we make these average, everyday aspects of class AWESOME?
